Staging will begin at 11:30 AM in 15 minute increments at the CCHS parking lot. You will be notified of what time you need to be at the parking lot to line up the week before the parade.
Route of Parade – Parade begins at Cocke County High School and will end at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. (DUE TO SAFETY AND TRAFFIC CONTROL we ask that everyone must follow the route to completion at Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church). Horses, Tractors & ATVs that will be returning to Cocke County High School: you MUST continue to the end of the parade route and an escort will be waiting to provide a safe return back to Cocke County High School.

Annual Newport Christmas Parade 2020
The Cocke County Partnership is pleased to announce that online registration is now available for the 2020 Newport Christmas parade! The parade will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020 beginning promptly at 3 pm. The Parade begins at Debbie’s Drive-In and will continue down Broadway heading east through downtown Newport and will finish at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. We encourage all participants and spectators to practice social distancing and go by CDC guidelines.
This year we ask that parade participants embrace the theme - "Memories of Christmas Past"
Deadline to submit applications is December 4, 2020
($10 for floats, $5 for vehicles or horses)
After December 4, 2020
Additional $10.00 late fee will be added. (and you will not be included in the script)
Parade guidelines, pricing and registration are available at www.newportcockecountychamber.com/events/christmas-parade/. Parade entry fees are to be submitted with the parade application. If you are unable to complete your registration online, please call the Chamber office at 423-623-7201 for assistance.
The Parade will be shown again on Facebook live this year, compliments of the City of Newport. It will also be available for later viewing on YouTube and the Cocke County Partnership’s webpage.
Deadline for entries will be December 4, 2020. Entries made after Dec. 4 will incur a $10 late fee and are not guaranteed to be in the parade script.
