Rhythm on the River 2026

Rhythm on the River is Back! with our 2026 Summer Concert Series presented by the Cocke County Partnership Chamber of Commerce and the City of Newport! Nestled behind Newport City Hall is our scenic Riverwalk along the Pigeon River in downtown Newport. 
Join us for this free community event featuring live music, food and games. This event is a favorite throughout the summer for locals as well as out-of-towners, with five family-friendly bands performing every other week!

Concerts are 7-9 PM on Thursdays at the Riverwalk behind Newport City Hall. Be sure to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy this relaxing and entertaining event with friends. This outdoor musical series also features free cornhole on the lawn, delicious meals and snacks to help support the Children's Miracle Network and provides a fun-filled experience for families and children of all ages!

The May 28th band is Mountain Edge!

We ask that you do not bring coolers and choose to support Walmart on their fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network and Knoxville's Children's Hospital. 

Concerts begin at 7pm and end at 9pm.  Concessions available from 6:30-8:30pm.  Concerts are rain or shine with the exception of lightening.  This is a free community event brought to you by our sponsors!
