Job Overview:

Location: 400 TN 73 Edwina Rd, Newport

 

Shift & Schedule: 2nd Shift | Sunday–Thursday, 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM (Overtime as needed)

 

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading the safe, efficient, and lean operations of the distribution center’s Shipping & Receiving functions at the Keurig Dr Pepper facility. This role oversees all inbound and outbound logistics related to finished goods. The Supervisor will directly manage a team of Selectors, Forklift Operators, and Shipping & Receiving Specialists while driving continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Shipping & Receiving teams; develop and implement standard work processes.

  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement initiatives using Kaizen, TPM, and 5S methodologies.

  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture aligned with KDP values through servant leadership and clear communication.

  • Enforce compliance with GMPs, PPE requirements, OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations.

  • Ensure effective collaboration with cross-functional departments including Planning, Quality, Maintenance, HR, Finance, and Safety.

  • Manage schedules, payroll time edits, and key performance indicators (KPIs); generate timely reports for leadership.

  • Drive associate engagement and accountability by promoting fair, consistent performance management practices.

  • Conduct daily facility checks (e.g., safety equipment, dock doors, forklifts, cleanliness).

  • Provide leadership coverage for logistics staff during absences as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
    In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in Logistics, Distribution, or a similar field will be considered.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in:

    • Distribution center operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

    • Supervisory/leadership roles, including managing frontline teams and reporting to senior leadership.

    • Use of material handling equipment (MHE), FIFO practices, and understanding of warehouse capacity and delivery logistics.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles strongly preferred.
