About Us

American Appliance Products had its beginnings in
1991. Its 40,000 square-foot building was located
on Willis Road in the Reidtown Community of
Newport. AAP was owned by the Sisler brothers,
whom also owned D & H Manufacturers.

Four years later AAP moved to its current 165,000
square-foot building. During the following years,
the business expanded; the plating line from D & H
Manufacturing in Ohio was relocated to Newport.
A year later, HVAC production was added and a
paint line was installed for the HVAC products.
A decade after its beginnings, AAP purchased
Feldkircher Wire in Madison, Tennessee. With this
acquisition, they expanded even more, adding
porcelain-coating capabilities.

In 2011, the company purchased PMC in Cleveland,
Ohio and moved the motor mounts and zinc-hoist
line from Cleveland to Newport. These changes
required a 6,000 square-foot addition to the
building.

During the following years, the business continued
to grow which led the move of the existing
warehouse to a leased 102,000 square-foot
warehouse on Thinwood Drive.

In 2014, the company went through a difficult time
when a fire destroyed the paint line and
approximately 20,000 squared feet of the building.
The AAP team worked together to recover from
this adverse event. By 2016, AAP had added
40,000 squared feet to their facilities and a new
paint line with line-zinc capability.
