About Us
The Cocke County Rural Accelerator Initiative was launched in May 2019, with the mission of accelerating progress toward cradle-to-career outcomes through proactive, collaborative, engagement of all community stakeholders.
Outcomes of the work are that 1) all children will enter kindergarten ready to learn, 2) all children will exit third
grade reading on grade level, and 3) all students will graduate from high school as ready graduates.
In December 2020, the Rural Accelerator Initiative transitioned to a more permanent and sustainable name of Cocke County Cradle to Career Coalition or C5.
What is Rural Accelerator Initiative?
The best solutions to local problems are created
when individuals and organizations work
together over the long term.
Mission: The Rural Accelerator Initiative
broadly seeks to accelerate progress toward
cradle-to-career outcomes for children in Cocke
County through proactive, collaborative,
engagement of all community stakeholders. The
initiative is not a program, but rather strives to
achieve this result through collective impact
efforts.
Vision: All Cocke County students will graduate
from high school with the necessary skills to
pursue post-secondary opportunities and to
become productive citizens.
