About Us

Friends Animal Shelter of Cocke County, TN is a privately owned 501(c)3 organization. We are a small organization with yearly intake of around 2,000 animals. Dogs, Puppies, Cats, Kittens, and Misc. Domesticated Animals. We strive every day to create a loving, healthy and safe environment for all animals in our care, and we are a 100% NO KILL shelter. We work with organizations all over the country to ensure that all animals that come into our care get placed in loving homes.

In addition to our shelter facilities, we are home to the Rainbow Bridge and Gardens where pet owners can come to hang a collar in honor of their pet that has passed, or they can just come enjoy the beautiful gardens to feel connected to their pet that has crossed the rainbow bridge.

Here at Friends of the Animal Shelter we are very excited to have our very own Thrift Store, run entirely by amazing volunteers! We have hundreds of wonderful donated items, so there truly is something for everyone. The best part! All proceeds go to our Shelter to help us help the animals!
